Husband left for his guy's trip this morning.
I was thinking back to when we were first married and I hated saying goodbye to him.
I was so sad to be without him.
My bed was empty, as was my heart.
Fast forward to being married almost 5 years (next month) and together for a total of 10.5 years. I jumped out of bed this am to say goodbye knowing that I would get to go back to sleep and not be interrupted and poked and told to get up to work out.
I cuddled with my cat and slept in (ooops -- work today).
I have plans tonight with friends and possibly Saturday too.
I cannot wait to just chill. To wake up on Sunday and even Monday (day off) and take my time getting ready or . . . not. Maybe I just want to lounge.
You see, my husband likes to plan. He likes to get things done.
He likes to work out, make food for the week, do the budget, etc.
I know those things need to be done BUT sometimes I like to just relax on the weekend.
No plans, man.
I am sure that come Sunday am, I will be anxious to see him and it won't be until Monday night but honestly, I really do need to take advantage of the free time on my hands.
Calgon take me away!

I totally get where you're coming from. I LOVE to be home by myself. When D traveled and was gone all week (sometimes 2 at a time), I really did love it. Ofcourse I missed him but absence does make the heart grow fonder. I think I need to send him on a guy's trip.
I am the same way. Ty is all about accomplishing things on the weekends and all I want to do is lay on the couch. haha.
I love Kristian to pieces but I also love when I get the house to myself for a night or even a few days. I get to stretch out in the bed, watch bad reality shows and eat ice cream for dinner. It's wonderful. However after probably 3days I want him to come home because I get lonely. And I haven't even been married a year yet! haha.
I totally get what you’re saying!! I love my husband to death, but when he takes a day off it completely throws my whole schedule off! He is a deputy sheriff, so I am use to being home with the dogs at night during the week and on the weekends and I can go and come as a please but when he is home, he likes to plan and do, and I just want to keep to MY routine and do as I please!
I guess that’s what happens when we have been married for 5+ years!! Enjoy your few days to yourself!! Watch, you’ll wake up early the entire time he is out of town!! That’s the way it ALWAYS works!

That is how last weekend was for me, I loved it! But by Sunday evening I was ready for Tony to come home!
Yup, I feel the same way when my boyfriend goes away! He's almost always... BUSY... except at night when he lays on the couch and watches three hours of TV (like right now). I love living on my own schedule once in a while. Enjoy your weekend of nothing bliss!

i am a huge fan of lounging on the weekends. i rarely get to do it, but if i have the opportunity i definitely take it! i have a hard time balancing doing nothing on the weekends and being productive/social. it's either all or nothing and it kind of drives me crazy!
Totally same on my end. I cannot wait for Saturday to roll around and sleep in, yet M will be up and out to go to the dropzone. He doesn't know how to live without plans.
yup, i get it. ive had a horrible cough the past week and having coughing fits during the night so got banished to the guest room at night. only thing is, its my bed from before we were together and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more comfortable than our bed, so i dont mind :) hehe
